Recurring live-culture orders, on your terms

How recurring billing, order processing, schedule changes, delivery, and cancellation work for eligible products.

Policy details

Understand each renewal before subscribing

Last updated September 3, 2026

This policy applies when an eligible PodDrop product is purchased through a recurring plan. The product, price, discount, frequency, and next renewal information presented at sign-up become part of the subscription terms.

Each renewal is a new perishable live-product order. Make skips, address updates, product changes, or cancellations before the processing deadline shown in the customer portal.

01. Subscription eligibility and enrollment

Subscriptions are available only for products, destinations, and frequencies offered at the time of enrollment. A valid account, email address, shipping address, and accepted payment method may be required.

Enrollment confirmation identifies the selected item, quantity, frequency, price or discount, and upcoming renewal date.

02. Automatic renewal authorization

By subscribing, you authorize PodDrop and its payment providers to charge the payment method on file automatically at each renewal until the subscription is canceled. The amount may include product price, shipping, taxes, and other charges disclosed for that renewal.

03. Pricing and discounts

The subscription price and any discount are shown at enrollment. Taxes and shipping are calculated under the terms applicable to each renewal. Promotional or subscription pricing may change with advance notice where required.

A one-time promotion does not automatically apply to future renewals unless its terms expressly say that it does.

04. Renewal processing and payment failures

Renewals process on the schedule shown in the portal. If payment fails, the subscription provider may retry the charge and notify the customer. PodDrop may pause or cancel fulfillment until payment information is updated.

A failed payment can change the intended shipping week or culture availability.

05. Managing products, frequency, and address

Available controls may allow the customer to update quantity, product, delivery frequency, shipping address, or payment method. Changes must be completed before the renewal enters preparation.

The customer is responsible for keeping all account and delivery information current.

06. Skipping, pausing, and cancellation

A future renewal may be skipped, paused, or canceled through the customer portal when that option is available. A cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically cancel a charge or order already processed.

If portal assistance is needed, contact PodDrop before the next processing deadline. Requests received after processing may not be completed.

07. Shipping and receiving

Subscription shipments follow PodDrop’s live shipping schedule, available carrier services, protective weather holds, and receiving requirements. The customer should monitor each tracking notice and retrieve every shipment at the first delivery attempt.

08. Live arrival and refunds

Each subscription shipment is evaluated separately under the Live Arrival Policy. An arrival concern must be reported within 2 hours with the required evidence. Processed or shipped renewals are otherwise subject to the Refund Policy and are not refundable simply because a customer forgot to skip or cancel.

09. Product or program changes

Culture availability, destination eligibility, shipping service, subscription features, or a product itself may change. PodDrop may contact the customer to offer a pause, approved change, or cancellation. A different live species will not be substituted without customer approval.

010. Notifications and customer responsibility

Renewal, payment, and shipment messages are sent to the contact information on file. Delivery of a reminder is not guaranteed and does not replace the customer’s responsibility to monitor the portal, billing schedule, payment method, address, and tracking.

011. Professional recurring supply

Wholesale, hatchery, research, university, and public-aquarium programs may use a written recurring-supply plan instead of the retail subscription system. Accepted quotes, purchase orders, or supply agreements control when they contain different terms.
