This policy describes ownership and permitted use of original materials displayed on getpoddrop.com and associated PodDrop storefronts and channels. It also explains how to submit a copyright concern under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Scientific names and general biological terminology are factual identifiers. PodDrop does not claim ownership of naturally occurring species or public scientific nomenclature.
Covered materials may include original product descriptions, articles, guides, photographs, video, graphics, illustrations, icons, labels, packaging, downloadable resources, site layouts, and other creative works prepared by or for PodDrop.
Original PodDrop materials are owned by PodDrop LLC and protected by applicable copyright law. Some materials may be owned by licensors or service providers and used under permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You may view, print, or save limited excerpts for personal, noncommercial reference, aquarium education, or internal evaluation, provided copyright and attribution notices are retained. This permission does not include republication, resale, bulk copying, or creation of a competing resource.
Written permission is required to reproduce PodDrop photographs, labels, logos, long-form text, charts, guides, videos, or site designs in advertising, product listings, packaging, commercial training, another website, or a distributed publication, unless applicable law clearly permits the use.
PodDrop names, logos, taglines, product presentation, and distinctive brand elements may function as trademarks or trade dress. Do not use them in a manner that implies affiliation, authorization, sponsorship, or endorsement without written permission.
Scientific names—including copepod and phytoplankton species names—and general biological facts are not claimed as PodDrop property. PodDrop’s original expression, organization, photography, graphics, and presentation of that information may still be protected.
Third-party names, marks, quotations, links, or media may appear for identification, commentary, compatibility, attribution, or another lawful purpose. Ownership remains with the respective rights holder, and inclusion does not necessarily imply endorsement or affiliation.
A rights holder who believes material on the site infringes copyright may send a notice identifying the copyrighted work, the exact location of the challenged material, contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the sender is authorized to act, and a physical or electronic signature.

If material was removed because of mistake or misidentification, a counter-notification may identify the removed material and its former location, include the statements and consent required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g), provide contact information, and include a physical or electronic signature.
PodDrop may forward notices and counter-notifications to the affected parties and service providers as permitted by law.
Suspected unauthorized commercial use of PodDrop materials may be reported to legal@getpoddrop.com with a URL and screenshot. PodDrop may update this policy as content, channels, or legal requirements change.
