Last updated September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PodDrop LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit getpoddrop.com, place an order, create an account, subscribe to communications, request support, or submit a professional-account form.

Payment information is processed through Shopify and other payment providers. PodDrop does not receive or store a complete payment-card number in ordinary storefront operations.

01. Information collected

Depending on how you interact with PodDrop, information may include your name, email, telephone number, billing and shipping address, order and transaction details, account credentials, communication preferences, support messages, reviews, and professional-account or research-program information.

Device and usage information may include IP address, browser, device type, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring source, interactions, and approximate location derived from technical data.

02. Sources of information

Information may come directly from you, automatically from the site and connected technologies, from Shopify and service providers supporting the transaction, or from a business or organization that submits information on your behalf.

03. How information is used

PodDrop may use personal information to operate the storefront; process payment; fulfill and deliver orders; manage accounts and subscriptions; communicate about orders; provide support; evaluate wholesale, research, and institutional requests; prevent fraud; maintain security; improve products and site experience; comply with law; and keep business records.

Where permitted, information may also be used for email, SMS, advertising, audience measurement, and other marketing activities consistent with your choices.

04. When information is shared

Information may be disclosed to Shopify; payment processors; carriers; fulfillment and communications providers; subscription, review, analytics, advertising, fraud-prevention, hosting, and professional-service providers; and other vendors that help operate PodDrop.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or at your direction. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and are subject to their own privacy practices.

05. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The site and its providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep carts and accounts working, measure performance, understand traffic, prevent fraud, and support advertising.

Browser controls and any consent tool presented on the site can be used to manage certain technologies. Blocking required cookies may affect storefront functions.

06. Email and SMS communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. If you opt into SMS, message frequency varies and message or data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance.

Transactional messages about an order, account, payment, shipment, or service request may still be sent when necessary. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. PodDrop does not sell or share SMS subscriber data for another party’s own marketing.

07. Professional and research inquiries

Information submitted for a wholesale, hatchery, university, public-aquarium, or research request may include organization, role, tax or resale status, intended application, species, volume, cadence, receiving details, and documentation needs. PodDrop uses it to evaluate eligibility, capacity, logistics, and account support.

08. Retention

PodDrop retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain order and tax records, manage disputes and claims, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable requirements.

09. Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and PodDrop cannot guarantee absolute security.

Customers are responsible for safeguarding passwords and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account activity.

010. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. PodDrop may need to verify identity and may retain information when required or permitted by law.

You may also manage marketing choices, cookie settings, account information, and subscription preferences through the controls provided.

011. International processing

PodDrop and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws differ from those in your location. When required, appropriate measures are used for cross-border processing.

012. Children and third-party links

The site is not directed to children under 13, and PodDrop does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Third-party websites linked from the site operate under their own privacy policies, which PodDrop does not control.

013. Policy changes and contact

PodDrop may update this policy as services, vendors, or legal requirements change. The current effective date appears above.
